Student moving in Birmingham

Changing halls, moving into a shared house or leaving your student room? Start with your boxes, suitcases and any furniture, then tell us how flexible your date can be. HS Group Global can review a shared-route place, a room move or a private option against the actual load and journey.

Your items. Your access. Your quote, agreed in writing.

Your room is one part of the move.

For Birmingham student accommodation, check how collections work before choosing your slot. A reception desk, gated courtyard or lift booking can affect where items are collected. Tell us your floor, the distance from your room to the loading point, and whether an accommodation team must approve access. Include the destination details too, even if the new room seems straightforward.

A shared route may suit packed boxes and luggage when your postcode and date can join an available route. It is not an exact-time collection promise. Furniture, a fuller room or a fixed handover deadline may need a different option. Send photos of loose or unusually heavy items so handling can be reviewed; do not assume a shared box allowance covers them.

Clear scope. No guesswork.

What can be agreed

  • Collection and delivery of the student belongings listed in the agreed moving scope.

  • Shared-route availability review or a room/private option where the load and timing suit.

  • Access and route checks before the final resources and price are confirmed in writing.

Not automatically included

Storage, packing materials, dismantling, reassembly and extra collection stops are separate unless agreed. Shared routes are not available for every postcode or date. Large furniture or special handling may require another package after review.

Have these details ready. Attach relevant photos when you speak to the team on WhatsApp.

  1. Collection and delivery postcodes, accommodation names and move-out deadline.

  2. Box and suitcase counts, plus a separate list and photos of furniture.

  3. Both floor levels, lift rules, reception access and loading or parking arrangements.

  4. Date flexibility, any fixed arrival requirement and whether there is a storage gap.

Boxes only? A fuller room? Let’s talk.

Shared-route, room and private moving details can help explain the different approaches without turning every student move into the same service. Your quote is assessed individually. A private option is not automatically a fixed crew size or vehicle; the route, payload, access and agreed inventory still decide the plan. Ask for the accepted items, timing and any additional cost in writing before confirming.

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Can I book an exact time on a shared route?

An exact collection or delivery time is not guaranteed on the economy shared route. Tell us about handover deadlines so the team can review whether a room move or private option would be more suitable.

Can my desk or bed come too?

Send photos, dimensions and access details. Limited small furniture may fit a reviewed room move; larger pieces, dismantling or difficult access need separate assessment and written agreement.

What if my new tenancy starts later?

Ask about student storage and provide the collection date, expected storage period and likely return address. Storage and return delivery are not automatically part of a student-moving quote.
